Piedmont District Happenings

Piedmont District President
t District has had a busy, unusual spring.
Our District Meeting in March was cut short by the
prediction of severe tornado weather for most of the
Piedmont District the day of our meeting. The night prior,
schools were being closed for the following day.
The Piedmon
t was truly a difficult decision to go ahead and have our
District Meeting. Our space had been paid, meals
ordered and paid, and designer for the day had
purchased supplies. The day was very good. Surprising
what can be done in a very short time.
I
t
was held, 67 District Awards were given out
to honor amazing club efforts, a buffet lunch was
enjoyed, vendor shopping took place, an inspirational
design program was held, and we were out of the
building by 1 pm and on our way home. Delighted to
report all arrived home safely.

Designer Peyton Wells created eight
designs in advance and gave an
excellent walk-through of each design
including the use of mechanics.
