was established by National Garden Clubs, Inc. to celebrate the many ways
gardens improve and beautify our lives, both as individuals and as a society, to encourage wider
participation in gardening activity, and to provide information and education to the general public
about all aspects of gardening through demonstrations and workshops.

y Virginia garden clubs do not meet during the summer months - even so, a growing number
of clubs are taking a day or more to engage with each other and their communities to celebrate
National Garden Week.

In 2025 we chose one book and had our members create
a floral arrangement based on that book.
It was a fun way to see all the creativity from a single book.
The arrangements were displayed in our local library for the entire week
for our library staff and local residents to enjoy.
